Week of Oct. 4th

Monday we went to gymnastics and then Audrey and her kids came over. The girls played dress up and Jameson loves our train set. Madeleine asks if we can have Mickey Mouse nuggets so that is our Monday night dinner right now. The older girls enjoy showering and pretending the shower is a waterfall.
Imaginary play is so fun right now. One night we were in Sydney's room playing "I see a color." On Sydney's turn, she chose pink and black. Matt and I named everything in her room-it got to the point where I thought she had forgotten. Finally daddy mentioned her imaginary puppy or kitty, and Sydney said, "Yep-FINALLY you guessed it!" Puppy, kitty and horse are apart of our family. They eat dinner with us, they go in timeout and they enjoy eating popsicles too!
Friday we went to visit with Karilynn, Meg and Janey. Karilynn fixed my hair while the girls played with their dollhouse. Sydney was thrilled to eat gum and play with an older girl. After naps we went to Sandy's for dinner. Great Grandmama, Great Granddaddy, Quintin, Suzette, Melissa & Jevin and all of us were there. Sydney takes to Suzette and they played with stickers. She told me she loves her long dark hair. She asked if she could play with it next time.
Saturday our neighbors were having a "Fallapalooza." It just so happened to be the same party Melissa and Jevin were going to. Andrea and Evie came too! It was so fun. We love that our neighbors put on festivals and parties.
Sunday after church we went to the park for Life Group. Usually we meet Sunday nights, but today we tried the park for lunch. We stayed until Caitlin rubbed her eyes.
Caitlin is coming up for a change- we have delayed the big girl bed, the paci in the bed and potty training. I am trying to decide which to tackle first. My thoughts are to try potty training during Christmas break because we will be around lots of family so we can give her positive remarks and take turns going to the potty. I am looking into buying rails for her crib to convert to a big girl bed. The paci in the bed is just so hard to give up. She begs to go to sleep and loves her crib. She takes 2 1/2 hr naps and sleeps from 7:30pm to 7am- I just don't want to ruin that. Hopefully by her birthday, all 3 tasks will be completed.
