Week of Aug. 4th
Tuesday we went to Diane's for playgroup. The girls have started singing the abc's together. It is so sweet to watch.
Wednesday we went to the library and met Andrea and Evie. For the first time, I had to escort Sydney out because she was disobeying and then making a fuss. She usually sits in my lap, but she decided to wonder around (which is frowned upon) so after asking 3 times to sit down, I took her out. We went out to the fountain to get some air and then Andrea and Evie met us there after storytime. Sydney chased Evie around the fountain and some ladies gave her some pennies to throw in.
Thursday we went to dad's for the day. Dad bought the baby channel so we watched a couple of minutes to see what it is. At one point, they draw something using sand....so cool. Sydney loved to watch and guess what was being drawn. After her nap we said goodbye to Andrea and Evie. They are traveling to LA tomorrow for a month...yes, a month. I am sick about it. She is working out there and then visiting some friends. That night our ADPI girls came over for dinner. They are all getting pregnant so it is fun conversation about their lives. Sydney enjoyed showing off her skills to them...you know, the running, the "right back", the singing abcs and 123s.
Friday we stayed home to rest. After nap we drove out to Franklin to have dinner with the Moore's, Quintin and the grandparents. I ate my words and watched Sydney run around our table so she could stay entertained. I said I would never let her out of her high chair in a restaurant...so rude and disrespectful to others. After dinner, we went to see Jevin's house. Michelle and Connor were there. Sydney loves Connor (Melissa's nephew). He treats her like gold. Andrew and his girlfriend, Alysa, came over to visit late that night after the girls were down. Matt got out the wii and Guitar Hero. Man, it has been a while!
Saturday Matt took Sydney to do some errands while I rested during Caitlin's nap. So nice! For dinner, we went to Jevin's again for a cookout. Connor and Sydney played golf outside and then hide n seek with the golf balls. After dinner Melissa got out Operation and they played...Sydney watched and laughed when they got buzzed.
Sunday we went to Sandy's for lunch. During the girls' naps we went to visitation for Johnny Claude Garrett. He grew up with mom and dad. We went to mom's for dinner. She starts her new school, Whites Creek, tomorrow and is stressing out. It was a crazy weekend and we are ready to rest.
Caitlin is swallowing the rice cereal better. We tried prunes this week to help with it.
