Week of July 7th
Wednesday we met Andrea and Evie at the downtown library. Sydney is so comfortable now. She ran up on stage at the end and was showing other girls how to sit on the stage. Afterwards, Mary Mary gave her the rainbow paper. She felt so special! That night we all ate dinner at Eric's house for his birthday. He has accepted a job at Duke University so they will be moving soon.
Thursday Jessie, Andrea and Evie came out to spend the day. It is fun to watch all three girls play in one room and see all the different age levels. Sydney throws the ball, Evie smacks it around and Caitlin eats it. For dinner we went out to Opry Mills. Matt had to pick up his new golf clubs so we made a night of it. Sydney loved walking the mall. They have a little train on the walkway that kids can ride on...we didn't ride, but Sydney was running after it. It is such a kid friendly mall with the Aquarium, Rainforest Cafe and two carousels.
Friday Matt took off work to play golf with Eric so he was home early. I tested Caitlin's belly and ate some ice cream that night after her last feeding. The next day didn't bother her so that is a great first step. My next move will be eating dairy during the day to see what she does.
Saturday I took Sydney to the Bellevue library for a special guest, Rachel Sumner. Sydney loved the songs and dancing. We took lunch to Jevin and Melissa's new house. Sandy and Johnny came out to help paint and clean.
Sunday we went to mom's for the day. Sydney swam a little but mostly just ran in the house. She now loves to play imaginary ocean where she finds fish, turtles and dolphins in the sand. She also will get on all fours and act like any animal. She has never said cat or dog, but she will bark and meow for hours. Caitlin is feeling great. She smiles when she is awake and now is playing in the exersaucer.
