Week of July 20th
Monday Carolyn came over for lunch. The girls really enjoy her. She sang Sydney the lullaby her mother used to sing to her. After naps we met playgroup at the Bellevue Rd Park. Caitlin went down all 3 slides. She is fearless!
Tuesday I took Sydney to see Charlotte's Web while Sandy stayed with Caitlin. It is my favorite movie for kids, besides Mary Poppins.
Wednesday we visited the library for storytime. Sydney now hugs Mary Mary and Professor when we leave. She is interested in alphabet books so we searched when we were checking out books. We are working on the sounds of each letter.
Thursday Banica brought her 3 almost 1yr old babies over to play. They loved the jumpy house and enjoyed eating lunch outside. After naps Andrea brought VV over. They played in the sand and then sang Mickey Mouse while jumping.
Friday Audrey brought her kids over. Sydney and Madeleine played "sleep" again. After naps Melissa came by so I could go to the Encores Consignment Sale. Matt fed them dinner and put them to bed. After bath Caitlin likes to bite her toothbrush and then put it under the water. She screams when we turn the water off. Sydney picks out her 5 books and is ready to read after bath. She can pretty much recite Goldilocks and the 3 bears now. Caitlin loves the signs to Itsy Bitsy Spider and Happy and You Know It. When Caitlin is crying, Sydney will just start singing to her and rubs her head.
Saturday we all went golfing down the road.Sydney played the first 5 holes with Matt and kept up, but needed a "break" in the stroller for the last 4. Caitlin walked the green but I had to hold her to keep up with Matt. They loved it and it wasn't crowded so we could take our time. There will be some cute photos for July month. After naps we went to Jevin and Melissa's subdivision pool. I can't take both girls by myself. Caitlin sits on the side and plays with the bucket until she decides she wants to walk. Sydney wants to swim with a parent and likes to play in the water. Matt and I would rotate and then all paint together (water and paintbrushes).
Sunday we went to church. Both girls just walk into Sunday school no problem. After naps we went to Evie's 2 birthday party. They played outside in the swing and with bubbles. Sydney enjoyed helping VV open her gifts. Caitlin enjoyed playing with VV's toys.
