Week of June 22nd
Monday we hosted playgroup at our house. We set up the baby pool, sprinklers, water table and other toys. The girls loved it! After dinner Sydney took them up to the jumpy house. The girls bounced well together and no heads collided together.
Wednesday we went to the library for storytime. Sydney is star struck when she sees Professor and Mary Mary out in the open. After naps we went to dad's and then to Matt's softball game. They enjoy playing with the dirt and yelling at players. "Go daddy. Hit that ball hard!"
Thursday after naps we met mom, Jim and Lana at Chucky Cheese. Sydney climbed and slid down the slide. Caitlin loved walking around and Lana chasing her. Both girls were hesitant when the big puppets performed during dinner.
Friday Audrey and the kids came over. Madeleine and Sydney argued a lot this trip. They couldn't agree on much. Katy and Tim came over for dinner. They girls played in their kitchen while we ate burgers.
Saturday I took Sydney to the Mother Goose program at the library while Matt played with Caitlin. She needs time to play with all the toys and not have to share with anyone. And Sydney needs alone time with me so she can sit in my lap and no one gets jealous. Caitlin is signing more, open, bath and now help me. She couldn't make a fist so she created her own sign for help. The funny thing is her sign for help was Sydney's sign for fruit that she made up. Caitlin doesn't like to change her diaper so Sydney plays peek-a-boo when I have to lie Caitlin down. Caitlin just cackles and hides her eyes to hide herself. They like to play that also in the car.
