Week of May 18th

Monday Matt took Sydney for her last gymnastics class. They had an award ceremony and Coach Scott's gave them medals. She was so excited to show Caitlin and me. That afternoon we went to the secret park off Sneed Road. They had a great time swinging, climbing the ladder and going on the merry go round.
Tuesday we took a picnic lunch to Percy Priest. Sydney was amazed to see so many teachers (and they all knew her name which really freaked her out).
Wednesday we dropped Caitlin off with dad and Shelley. Sydney and I went to Snip Its for her first hair cut. It was so cute and she sat so still and smiled. We went to "a restaurant" afterwards and Sydney was happy to be with just mommy. It was a fun outing and I can't wait to do it again!
Thursday Carolyn came over for lunch. Sydney couldn't get enough of her belly. She kept touching it and asking about 2 babies.
Friday was Sydney's 3rd birthday. Matt stayed home from work so we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. They didn't care for pancakes but I brought banana and yogurt for back up. We then went to the zoo and met dad, Shelley, Andrea and VV. Sydney loved showing them the playground, the carousel and the birds. This time she got to feed the birds. After nap we surprised Sydney with her present, the big inflatable jumpy! She loved it and didn't want to get out for dinner. She jumped with Caitlin and then decided she "needed" her babies. She and her baby stayed in the garage for an hour jumping.
Saturday Gama, Grandmama and Granddaddy came over to sit with Caitlin while I took Sydney to Madeleine's birthday party at Build A Bear. She had a great time picking out her kitty, stuffing it, washing it, picking out an outfit and putting it in her house. That afternoon we had Sydney's family birthday party at our house. It was great. Everybody got to come into town and we got some great photos. Sydney had a Mickey Mouse cake and loved giving Pez to them when they left. Sunday we stayed home and cleaned up, played with new toys and played in the jumpy. When I tucked her into bed she kept saying "great birthday mommy," "so excited" and "Sydney's happy."
