Week of June 28th

Monday we rested and cleaned house. The girls came over for playgroup. It is so hot outside, they played in the playroom.
Tuesday Mary and her 2 kids came over to play. Elizabeth and Sydney colored a lot while Hamp and Caitlin played with blocks.
Wednesday we did errands...with 2 kids that means 2 places, going in and coming right out. We went to buy a birthday gift. Walking into a toy store could've been tough, but we had our chat about what we were buying and what we could look at. Sydney saw a toy and said, "I think I will put that on my Christmas list." We hadn't talked about Christmas in so long....so funny what kids say and remember.
Thursday at gymnastics Caitlin jumped with 2 feet!!!! She has been trying and doing her gallop and hop but finally she jumped landing 2 feet down. She surprised herself and then smiled and cheered. Needless to say the trampoline was her favorite that trip.
Thursday we went to Sandy's for dinner. Quintin and Suzette, Jevin and Melissa came too. The girls entertained and chased each other. They were a big hit!
Friday after naps we went bowling with Andrea and Evie. They have been promoting this kidsbowlfree.com so we joined and went....shoe rental was $17. I knew there was a catch for that! The girls cheered for each other and did great taking turns for about 6 rounds. After that all they wanted to do is run around. Caitlin wanted to "I can do it" so she carried the ball and rolled it down by herself...I think it took 2 minutes to get down each time. We had a blast and hopefully next week the boys can come too.
Saturday we had water day at our house. We put water in the jumpy house, Matt put the slide in the baby pool and slip n slide. The girls had a blast. They needed us to play at first and then played well together. Matt and I had a break on the deck just watching.
Sunday was July 4th. We went to dad's pool at 9am to swim with Audrey and her family. The four kids did great in the pool and we had so many adults it was a relaxing day. I thought naptime would be tough, but we got there so early, they were both ready to go inside for a while. Nick and Christie stopped by for a bit with all the family. When we got home, our neighbors were putting on a firework show. It was shaking out house but the girls were so tired, it didn't bother them a bit. We were hoping they would sleep in, but of course they still woke up at 6:45!
