Week of Feb. 22nd

Monday was Caitlin's 2 yr appointment. Waiting with 2 little ones for 30 minutes is ridiculous! She did great with Dr. Smeltzer. While he was checking her out, Sydney had her doctor's kit and was copying him. He would say, "Open your mouth Caitlin." Sydney would repeat, "Open your mouth mommy." Caitlin's height is 34.25in (68%), weight 25lbs (27%), head circumference 46.2 cm (18%).
Wednesday we dropped Sydney off and went to the library. She screamed for AA and VV and couldn't understand they weren't coming. Once she saw the Professor and Mary Mary, she was fine.
Friday was closing day. Sandy came over to the house to stay with the girls. Nick did our closing so we visited with them. Then we met Jason, the contractor, at our new house to show him some remodeling we are wanting to do. We have 4 weeks until we have to move in so he said it is plenty of time to do the dirty stuff inside. Then Matt and I drove out to Hermitage to meet Charlie and look at bathroom decor. It was challenging picking out granite, cabinets, knobs, etc. I don't recognize that stuff in homes....now I will. Circle or lever knobs? bronze or silver? Paint color? YUCK!
Saturday we took the girls over to the new house and let them run around. They loved their tricycles in the house and played hide n seek. We met the architect because we were asking to tear down the kitchen wall. After naps we came back to the house and mom, Jevin and Melissa came over. Sydney's first comment that morning was, "Mommy's room is downstairs and mine is upstairs. MMM." I have heard it is a training process for 3-4 year olds about coming to mommy's bed downstairs. Right now she is a great sleeper and is alone from 7:30pm - 6:30am. We'll see!
Sunday after naps Sydney, Caitlin and I met mom, Andrea and VV at Mickey Mouse. They were glued! We ate dinner at Panera and the 3 girls together are so cute!
