Weeks of March 17-30

We have been busy keeping up with Sydney and managing Caitlin. Caitlin is still not doing too well. We went to the doctor last week and he thinks it is a combination of her stomach and maybe my milk. I am off dairy to see if that effects her differently and she is taking Zantac for her stomach. It is an anti-acid medicine, so it should soothe her throat so when she spits up she is not in pain. We are going back next Wednesday to see what the next step is. She is still screaming throughout feedings and just spitting up every hour (and lots of it). It is just so hard to see her in pain!

Sydney is adjusting finally. She is starting to play a little by herself while I feed Caitlin. She likes to "show me" stuff now. Of course her favorite game is hide n seek, but she peeks between her fingers.

Saturday we went down to Lawrenceburg to see the grandparents. Sydney loved playing outside. Sandy hid some Easter eggs inside and Sydney had tons of fun finding them. She loved Grandmama's sweet potatoes and deviled eggs.
Sunday was Easter. We cooked breakfast and played with Sydney's Easter basket. She got some toys, stickers, bubbles, and bunnies.

The next weekend we celebrated Easter with my family. Saturday we went to dad's. Shelley saw Caitlin for the first time since she has been back and Sydney played all night. She likes to play puzzles with Dustin and use Spencer as a toy rolling all over him. Caitlin had an excellent day and night. Andrea thinks it is because she was being held more. I am sitting her in the bouncer or swing during the day so I can deal with Sydney. She slept great that night so now our theory is she needs to be held more...any takers?
Sunday we went to my mom's house. Mom pretty much played with Evie and Sydney all day while we all took turns rocking Caitlin. We attempted the Easter egg hunt outside in the chilly weather, and Sydney did great. Jim and Lana walked around with her finding eggs.

We hope to get some sleep this week. I am waking Caitlin up every 3hrs. to eat and then she is going down around 8:30 and sleeping until 1:30. She has a hard time lying down without spitting up, so she doesn't want to go back to sleep after the nighttime feedings. We are hoping to cut it down to 7 feedings. She isn't eating much but she still weighed 8.5 at the doctor's office.
