Week of Jan. 5th
Monday we went to gymnastics. I really enjoy going and being in a Mommie and Me class. Andrea and Evie came to gymnastics to try it out. Evie still might be a little young, but she tried. They came over afterward and played while Caitlin napped.
Tuesday Sydney went back to school. Her eyes lit up when Mrs. Kelly came to get her out of the car. You could tell she had missed it. Carolyn came over for lunch and watched Caitlin cruise around.
Wednesday we stayed put. Sydney is testing me when we are at home. Her new thing was to run after me when I put her in timeout. It took some patience but she learned that she has to stay in timeout for 2 minutes...our timeout is the front door rug. She was put in timeout because she threw her waffle on the floor because Caitlin had a bigger piece than her. After her timeout she likes to put her imaginary "nanny" in timeout and act like mommy. It is very cute to watch her imitate me. She then will look at me and say "listen to me."
Thursday Sydney went to school. Caitlin is gaining more confidence cruising and she likes to kiss you...her mouth open on your cheek.
Friday we met Audrey and the kids at Chick Fil A in Cool Springs. They wipe down the table, put down a kid plastic placemat, bring you your food and anything else you need. We loved it! Jevin and Melissa came over after nap to sit with the girls while Matt and I went to dinner to celebrate Carolyn's birthday. Sydney showed them how to play the scavenger hunt.
Saturday Matt took Sydney on some errands. It has started to be a routine and she looks forward to Saturday with daddy. That afternoon Matt went to the Titans' game and I took the girls to Audrey's for Jameson's 1st birthday party. Sydney had a blast with Madeleine and they play so well together now. Caitlin followed all the kids around and really wanted Sydney's cupcake. They had a clown and Sydney loved getting her face painted.
Sunday we went to church. After nap mom came out to visit. Sydney loved chasing her and showing her toys. Caitlin loves to dance with Elmo. She rocks on all fours and then sits up and claps. She loves all types of music.
