Week of Aug. 1st

Shelley's family reunion was in McAll, Idaho so we packed up for a family vacation. The plane ride was rough (10hrs with delays and 3 legs), plus a 2 hr drive with a 2hr time difference, but we arrived at 11 pm and enjoyed our country condo. Idaho was beautiful-like a movie scene in the mountains.
One of the nights a babysitter came to our condo to keep the girls while the adults went to dinner and dancing. The girls were so excited because "they got babysitters." Sydney said she always stays with the grandparents and hears her friends say they had a babysitter, so she was thrilled to have a "babysitter."
The only thing that we found different was the lake. One day was river rafting and playdate at the lake. The water is SO cold. We are used to bath water in our lake in August and in Idaho they enjoy their ice cold water!

Sydney with her Uncle Spencer at the Talent Show. Her talent- she sang "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" (in Spansih) while mama did the hand motions. We were so proud she got up there by herself!

 Caitlin really wanted to ride the jet ski, but neither Matt nor Caitlin wanted to touch the water.

 We have babysitters! It is going to be a good night!

 Nanny's monogrammed suitcases are perfect for traveling. They loved picking their luggage up.

Plane ride! This is the first leg so they are so excited about their "secrets" in the backpacks. I packed snacks, paper, arts and crafts, etc. As the plane took off, Sydney yelled, "Blast off!" Then, as we went into the clouds, Caitlin asked, "Where is God? I don't see him."

Dad was so sweet! He had kid movies on his ipad and Uno. He knows what interest our girls.
